Nutrisystem in 2012

What follows is an old post that looked at Nutrisystem in 2012 and how the company had evolved from previous years. Some updates have been added since it's initial publication for your interest:

With a new year underway and a lot of New Year's resolutions from people who are aiming to lose weight, now is one of the busiest times of the year for diet companies like Nutrisystem.

But what have they got in store for a new collection of customers who are signing up for a diet that they hope will help them to lose weight easily and inexpensively?

What's New with Nutrisystem

Reading into some of the more recently produced batch of Nutrisystem reviews (for example: https://hhtb.org/nutrisystem-reviews/ that have appeared online, it seems that while it may be business as usual for one of the diet industry's leaders, there is a lot of new stuff to know about.

First of all, you could not have failed to notice that the company have a new spokesperson in the popular personality, Janet Jackson. She appears on their TV ads and her picture is splashed onto their advertising posters, banners and literature and is a big boost for the company in terms of celebrity endorsement, which they were sadly lacking in back in 2011.

New Menus

Their menus have been upgraded further with the inclusion of chef inspired entrées and all their basic plans now include 30 percent fresh frozen meals, which is a big improvement from the old menus that were all processed meals and freeze dried packets of pasta, rice and whatnot.

They are still there, but not so much of them and more higher quality meals instead.

Diet Shakes

They have also introduced diet shakes to the menus, for good or bad depending on what you like or dislike in a diet. Many people like them for their extra convenience, although those that prefer to eat real meals will not be so happy with them.

We still recommend that you drink plenty of water with your diet to get the most from it and improve your weight loss performance.

In January, 2012, the company was advertising a 20 percent money off offer as you will notice on certain ad banners displayed on some web pages, although that did change as we moved further into the year. Often, one deal is simply replaced with another one of equal or superior benefits, depending on how aggressive their promotional team are being.

New Promotion Discount

Coming back to the present day, you're more likely to see a more attractive 50% off promotional banner gracing a number of review pages around the web.

This is available to anyone that signs up for their first month of meals with the proviso that they are automatically signed up for Nutrisystem's auto delivery service, which automatically ships the next month's consignment of meals a few days before the customer is about to complete their current month.

Be Aware of Auto Delivery

This is a stipulation when taking the first month discount, meaning if customer tries to cancel the second and subsequent months, they will be billed for the difference in the full retail price and their discounted price as well as the shipping fee that they got for free.

All cancellations must be done by phone and not via the company website.

So there we have it, in a nutshell, what Nutrisystem has on offer for this year and how it has continued to improve in all areas as time goes by.
