Lazy Ways to Lose Weight Part 2

This is the second part of this two part article looking at lazy ways of losing weight without putting in a lot of effort to achieve results.

The previous part looked at ways in which to use your diet to maximize the benefits you can get from it by making some simple changes to the way in which you eat.

In this second part, we'll look at changing some habits to bring about a reduction in weight through altering the way in which you do some simple things.

Habits and Changing Them to Lose Weight

We all have any number of habits, good and bad that we find ourselves performing each day. Some of the bad ones are responsible for weight gain, so we should watch out for those and stop doing them right away.

As for the good ones, there are some new types that we can adopt that can actually help us to reduce our weight and body size without actually doing anything that might appear related to dieting or exercise (the main two foci of attack iin trying to lose weight).

Here are some really easy ones you can try to adopt:

Brush Your Teeth Early:

While it's fairly common to brush your teeth first thing in the morning and again last thing at night, you can actually use this habit to alter one factor of eating to your benefit.

It is a psychological factor that is etched into most people's brains that once they brush their teeth last time at night, there will be no more eating as it's time to go to bed.

Well, bring that time forward to mid evening and even though you won't be going to bed for another two or more hours, the act of brushing your teeth will tend to stop you feeling like eating any more for the day.

This is a great way for many people who habitually have a snack before they go to bed to cut out that last, often calorie laden snack.

Avoid Stress:

This is a pretty big way to prevent weight gain and something that far too many people overlook when it comes to trying to lose weight.

Spending a big part of each working day under a cloud of stress is fast becoming the norm for many people, but this is so destructive to health in so many ways that it makes sense to find ways to reduce and even negate that stress. And doing this is a pretty easy thing when you know how and can actually be highly enjoyable and beneficial in many ways.

It involves any technique that is designed to calm you and your body and mind. Meditation is one of the best forms, but you can also use self hypnosis or deep breathing and yoga techniques to achieve the same end.

Don't scoff at this, because it's important and it's very real. Reducing stress reduces the body's release of adrenalin and cortisol which triggers all sorts of negative health responses, one of them being the suppression of the digestive system.

That means whatever you have eaten will not be digested properly if you are stressed and a large proportion of what would otherwise be converted to burnable energy is instead converted into storable fat!

Summary

So that wraps up our two part look at lazy ways to lose weight. Reducing stress reduces your body's tendency to store fat which means less chance of getting overweight, so it is a big deal!

The best part is that relaxing is the lazy person's heaven sent means to this particular end. So take time out to relax, de-stress and prevent any further weight gain while using the other techniques mentioned in these two articles to bring about weight loss and achieve it the lazy way!

How easy is that?
